Exetel began offering services to residential users in January 2004 with only one objective:

Since that time Exetel has consistently met those objectives and continued to improve the ‘value for money’ offered on a continuing basis. Exetel also maintains a policy of continually enhancing the services on offer at no charge to the end user and without requiring the end user to “change plans” or sign up for new contract periods.

This has been made possible by two things that has characterised the difference between Exetel's way of operating and almost all other 'commercial companies' which are that Exetel is not in business to make as much money as possible from  customers, only enough to ensure they stay in business, and so when they receive cost reductions from suppliers the benefits are passed on to our users rather than increasing monthly profits.

 

Exetel donates one third of the profit it makes to various, community based, endangered species protection and regeneration programs around Australia (almost $A350,000 in 2008) and details on all of these programs can be found HERE
